Vertical plastic lamellas of different lengths are widely used, creating rectangular or arched cornices. Standard European vertical jalousies consist of lamellas with 127 mm (5 inch) width. There are also standard American vertical jalousies (89 mm (3.5 inch) width), and they are narrow.
